A Microsoft comunicou que irá liberar a principal funcionalidade da Live Gold, ou seja, a possibilidade de jogar online. Essa liberação, entretanto, será somente para as pessoas que possuirem o título GTA IV ou o futuro conteúdo adicional do mesmo, “The Lost and Damned“. Essa liberação será por apenas 5 dias, que compreenderão o período do dia 17 a 22 de Fevereiro.

A data coincide com a disponibilização do DLC feito pela Rockstar, exclusivo para o Xbox 360. A Rockstar espera que esse DLC produza um novo ânimo para as pessoas jogarem GTA IV. Cabe agora esperar se esse tipo de oferta será disponibilizada para outros grandes títulos ou, quem sabe, até mesmo a total liberação da Xbox Live Gold para todos os usuários.
