Square-Enix has said that the upcoming playable demo of Final Fantasy XIII is currently planned for release in Japanese territories only.

The demo in question will be bundled with the forthcoming Blu-ray release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete, as revealed by Famitsu magazine back in August of 2008.
Speaking with VG247.com, a Square representative commented, “At present the FINAL FANTASY XIII demo will only be available in Japan with the Blu Ray release of Advent Children Complete.”

“We hope to have further news in the coming months.”

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete is scheduled for release in Japan in March 2009.
